How did you manage scaling the company from a startup to where it is today?
Scaling the company from a startup required three key elements: relentless effort, a talented team and a focus on real innovation. We stayed ahead by closely following market needs and constantly doing things differently, pushing for solutions that truly set us apart. This combination allowed us to grow sustainably and stay competitive. 

 

What core values have been central to the company’s success?
Our success is built on deeply embedded values like ethical practices, professionalism and a commitment to quality. By focusing on differentiation and maintaining strict confidentiality, we stand out in a competitive market. Our success is also driven by the team’s continuous effort and resilience in overcoming challenges. 

 

How do you approach innovation within the company?
We approach innovation by focusing on delivering greater benefits to consumers through product differentiation, ensuring our offerings are both highly effective and environmentally responsible. By harnessing nature with care and respect in our technology and operations, we ensure that every innovation benefits both people and the planet, aligning our efforts with sustainability while enhancing consumer experience. 

 

How have your customers shaped the company’s direction?
Our customers have been at the heart of every major decision at Solutex. By listening closely to their needs and staying ahead of market trends, we’ve transformed from a company focused on delivering tailored value into a fully vertically integrated leader in omega-3 production. This means we handle every step, from sourcing raw materials to creating highly concentrated products like EPA 97%, all in-house. Their feedback and evolving demands have pushed us to innovate continuously, enabling us to offer unique, cutting-edge solutions that not only meet their expectations but often exceed them, giving us – and by extension our customers – the competitive edge. 

 

Looking back, what are you most proud of achieving in the past 20 years?
I’m most proud of transforming a simple idea into a thriving, consolidated company. Seeing that initial vision grow into a successful, established, business has been incredibly rewarding. 

 

If you could do anything differently, what would it be and why?
I’d focus on embracing opportunities for growth rather than dwelling on past mistakes. While it’s easy to identify what could have been done better in hindsight, the real challenge is to learn from those moments and apply that wisdom moving forward. Adopting this mindset sooner would have helped me navigate future decisions with greater confidence…
